Featherwork
The cornerstone of the workshop since its creation, featherwork holds no secrets for the company. Age-old gestures, tools and techniques are all assets for innovating and pushing the limits of this craftmanship to its furthest limits.
Knitting
Maison Vermeulen has integrated the know-how and boundless creativity of Aloys Picaud Studio Maille. Semi-automatic knitting machines, crochet hooks and embroidery stitches are just some of the tools used to create new, surprising materials, combining wool, lurex, gold thread, feathers, etc.
Weaving
The latest skill to be integrated into the workshop, our team is dedicated to weaving patterns of rare complexity, made possible by the recent acquisition of a 120 cm-wide loom equipped with 32 numerically-controlled frames. Over a hundred samples are available.

Every day, Maison Vermeulen’s workshop awakens to a symphony of gestures and sounds. The knitting machine’s needles resume their mechanical dance, the loom’s frames oscillate with precision, and the steam engine lets out a steady, almost reassuring breath. Each sound, each movement tells a story, the story of craftmanship passed on with patience and passion.
AGE-OLD TOOLS
___ On the workbenches, tools that were once dormant have found their place again. The curling knife, the tweezer and so many other instruments with evocative names wait to be seized, handled with the expertise of those who know how to get the best out of them.
But more than these metal or wooden tools, it’s the hands of the craftsmen that captivate. They trace, shape and refine with instinctive precision.

Laser cutting and 3D digital printing enable us to explore unknown facets of our craft, and meet our customers’ demands for precision and responsiveness.
